Montezuma has a wide offer of international restaurants and local food sodas.

Downtown you will find: "The bakery" on the way to the main beach, right before the local Primary School, offers local breakfast like gallo pinto or delicious capuccinos and hush-browns...the garden is often visited by white face monkeys and blue-jay birds.

"Café Organico" is the paradise for vegetarians, offering pure organic food with love; delicious home made ice-cream, tropical fruits flavors. It has a cozy indoors area with air conditioning where you can chill out, read your book or just use the wifi Internet connection available.

The very popular restaurant and bar "Cocolores" is located ocean side, not far from the church and offers a large variety of dishes from all over the world. Just in the heart of town there is the new soda "Las Delicias". It is open all day until midnight and offers fresh fruits shakes and some Spanish snacks.
Next to it the traditional soda "Montesol" is the best choice for typical costa rican food casados.

In the heart of downtown the new "Icedream" cafe' and gelateria has authentic artisan italian flavours and fine pastry. If you want to have a real coffe try the espresso Lavazza from Italy.

Restaurant/bar "Moctezuma" is located next to the small beach and has a beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean and with constant breeze. Spanish management ensures delightful dishes such as the famous “Paella”.

At the corner getting into town the Pizzeria "Chelo"offers Italian and Argentinean specialties. It has little stage where the musicians travellers often play for the customers, so you can also enjoy live music.

"Puggo's" is in a beautiful spot almost in front of the bus stop, falafels, paté, ceviche are few of their specialties, the mint lemonade they prepare is awesome. "Natsu" is the only sushi bar in town and one opportunity to enjoy a large variety of rolls, sashimi and asian dishes.

On the way to Cabuya 500 metres outside town, la "Soda Las Palmeras" is the best place to enjoy the typical costa rican food at great prices.

Walking or driving just 100 metros along the coast, right after the small Montezuma beach, you will reach "Playa de Los Artistas" a very special restaurant, located on the sand right in front of the ocean, owned and managed by Nicola and Daniela. It offers Mediterranean cuisine with enphasis on sea food and sofisticated recipes. It is probably the best restaurant in the area; attracting assiduous clients from Mal Pais, Santa Teresa and Manzanillo. The menu is always different and depends on the daily catch and Nicola´s creativity and inspiration, the tuna tartar, lobster carpaccio, octopus salad and shrimps ceviche are few options of his amazing creations. At the butterfly garden, located 700 meters up the steep, paved hill from the waterfall entrance is "Clandestina". A cool little restaurant established in 2015 serving hispanic style food and artisan craft beers. It features outdoor seating with a balcony overlooking the jungle. For a more "country side experience" you can drive 4 km to "Tierra y Fuego" a familiar restaurant open Friday, Saturday from 5 to 10pm and Sundays form 12 to 10pm They offer a great selection of Italian dishes, cheese, cold cuts, wood-fired pizzas, home made pasta and grilled chicken every Sunday.
